Little Pixies participates in programs administered by the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD). Universal Child Care provides no-cost child care for New Mexico families regardless of income, and NM PreK is a free, voluntary early-learning program.

Families apply through ECECD. There is no income limit, and approved care is provided without copays or tuition fees.

My son and daughter spent the first 3 years of their lives here at Little Pixies. If they didn’t have to start school they would still be there. They received wonderful care for many years. They started at around 7weeks old and stayed until they started school. They learned English and Spanish. They were well prepared to start school knowing their letters and counting. Great care and love comes from Mrs Karina and she is like my kids second mom.

Is Little Pixies a home daycare or a large center?
Little Pixies is a licensed family-home daycare and preschool in Southwest Albuquerque. Visit to see our classroom, meet the educators and decide whether the home setting fits your family.
Can we visit before deciding?
Yes. Send a short inquiry to arrange a visit with Karina. You can see the classroom and outdoor space, discuss routines and ask about openings. An inquiry does not reserve a space or commit you to enroll.
How do we get no-cost child care?
Little Pixies participates in ECECD Universal Child Care. There is no income limit, but families must apply and meet current program requirements. Karina can explain the next steps. Check the official ECECD guidance.
Can my child attend PreK and stay for a longer day?
Ask about enrolling in daycare before PreK from 6:00–7:30 AM and after PreK from 3:30–6:00 PM. PreK itself runs 7:30 AM–3:30 PM. Wraparound care requires enrollment and available space.
Can we communicate in Spanish?
Yes. Little Pixies welcomes families in English and Spanish. Use the language switch at the top of the website or contact Karina in your preferred language.

Mi hijo y mi hija pasaron los primeros 3 años de sus vidas aquí en Little Pixies. Si no hubieran tenido que comenzar la escuela, todavía estarían allí. Recibieron un cuidado maravilloso durante muchos años. Comenzaron cuando tenían unas 7 semanas y se quedaron hasta empezar la escuela. Aprendieron inglés y español. Little Pixies es una guardería familiar y preescolar con licencia en el suroeste de Albuquerque. Visítenos para conocer el salón, al equipo y decidir si nuestro ambiente familiar es adecuado para su niño.
¿Podemos visitar antes de decidir?
Sí. Envíe una consulta breve para coordinar una visita con Karina. Podrá conocer el salón y el patio, hablar sobre las rutinas y preguntar por cupos. Su consulta no reserva un espacio ni le compromete a inscribirse.
¿Cómo solicito cuidado infantil sin costo?
